Spreading heART and Soul

This Valentines Day, what if we spread a little more heART and soul?

Go ahead and print out copies of our "Little Love Notes" template, filled with art on view in cARTie's 2025 Juried Student Art Exhibition, the Many Ways of Seeing and Thinking About Art. Spend some time looking closely at each work of art (more information about each work of art can be found online, here). What do you notice? 

Building upon our last cARTie at home blog activity, try to free-associate people you care about with works of art. Perhaps one work of art reminds you of a loved one. Perhaps another makes you wish you could jump inside with a dear friend.

Turn these noticings into beautiful little love notes:

1. Cut out reproduction works of art with borders, as outlined in this printable PDF.
2. Address reproduction notes to loved ones.
3. Write about how each work of art made you think of each loved one.
4. Option to mail/hand-deliver your little love notes!

Note: There are enough reproduction works of art for you and your children to divide up, but also feel free to print out a few copies (sometimes certain works of art remind us of many people!).

As you get ready to share your little love notes with loved ones, we encourage you to post a picture of your creations on social media. That way, we can keep spreading more heART and soul :) Tag us @CTcARTie!
